1 3/4 cups sifted flour
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 lemon rind, grated
3/4 cup milk
Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together, add shortening and crumb well. Take 1/2 cup out for topping. Add eggs, lemon flavoring and rind, milk and mix well. Spread topping. Bake for 325º for 1/2 hour.
