2 egg whites
1/2 t peppermint extract
1/8 t cream of tartar
dash salt
3/4 C sugar
6 oz. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites, extract, and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in chocolate chips and food coloring.

Cover baking sheet with waxed paper. Drop by teaspoons on sheet. Bake 325º for 20-25 minutes. Remove from waxed paper while slightly warm.

I have found this recipe doesn't really work well in a gas oven. Why? No clue.
