1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Soften butter in 4 quart glass mixing bowl in microwave about 20 seconds. Add brown sugar and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Add flour gradually, beating thoroughly. Mixture will be crumbly. Press mixture firmly into a 1 1/2 quart glass dish. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 7-8 minutes at med-high or until layer is set; rotate dish 1/4 turn after 3 minutes. Remove from oven and set on a flat surface. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in a small glass bowl about 2 minutes at high. Blend until smooth. Spread over baked layer. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Cut into bars while still warm.
