Ingredients:  
4 cups raw cranberries
2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 6 oz box of raspberry or cherry jello
1 16 oz can of crushed pineapple (drained)
2 oranges (grate rinds and squeeze out juice-separate )
2 apples, cut fine
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cranberries and water and bring to a boil.
Add 1/4 tsp baking soda, drain slightly and then add sugar and cook until sugar is dissolved. (The soda reduces the bitter taste of the cranberries)
Remove from heat, add jello and juice from pineapple and oranges.
Cool till syrupy.
Add pineapple, orange rind, and nuts. I also add 2 apples, finely cut.
Pour in a glass bowl or mold and refrigerate .

This is my mother's recipe which she typically served at Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners. Sweet and festive, it tastes good and looks pretty served in a glass bowl.
