1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. all purpose flour
1 c. white sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. melted butter
1 egg
1 c. berries of your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sour cream and baking soda then set aside. Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt. Stir the sour cream mixture, butter and egg into the flour mixture until just moistened. Mix in the berries.

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly. Roll or pat dough into a 3/4 inch thick round. Cut into 12 wedges, and place them 2 inches apart on a prepared baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.
