6 pounds figs
1 whole clove for each piece of fruit
2 cups apple cider vinegar
6 cups sugar
1 piece of cinnamon stick 2" long

Directions:
Directions:
Wash figs in water and baking soda. Rinse well and remove stems.
Insert one clove into each fig.
In a large non-aluminum pan, combine vinegar and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring until all sugar has completely dissolved. Add the cinnamon stick. Add the fruit and boil until tender. Do not let the fruit get mushy,
Transfer to sterilized jars, being sure to include some juice with the fruit. Seal or refrigerate.
