1/2 cup of shortening
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
2 T of milk
2 cups of flour
3 mashed bananas
1 t baking soda
1 T of hot water
* 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (opt)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together shortening, sugar & eggs. Alternate blending in milk, flour & bananas. Add baking soda dissolved in hot water. Spray non-stick spray in bread pan. Pour in dough. Bake at 350º for 1 hour.

Let cool on a cooling rack if you have one. Don't turn over to dump it out until cooled.
