Follow Baking Powder Biscuit recipe and add to dry ingredients: 1/4 t garlic powder and 1/2 t coarse ground black pepper. - After cutting butter into dry ingredients add: 1 c shredded cheddar cheese then continue on as for the baking powder biscuits. These may require more milk for drop biscuits are a softer dough than roll out biscuits. -Drop by spoonfuls into hot buttered or oiled cast iron skillet (2 T).
Bake in a 425º oven for about 12 minutes until golden brown.
