4 cups Water
1 cup Quick Cooking Grits
1/2 stick Butter
6 slices Havarti Cheese
1/2 - 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place water in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Add salt, pepper, and grits. Stir vigorously and reduce heat to low. Add butter and cheese and stir until well blended. Add additional salt if needed to taste.

I prepare these grits for Sunday brunch when Rachael and Robert are home from college. They are great with homemade biscuits, scrambled eggs, and sautéed spinach.
