6 lbs. country style ribs
1 lg. onion(cut in chunks)
6 lg. potatoes(cut in chunks)
1 rutabaga(cut in chunks)
2 16 oz. bags sauerkraut
salt & pepper to taste
2 T. br. sugar
2 T. fennel seed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF,
Put spare ribs in roaster and brown on both sides about 1hr. When browned remove from oven & but ribs in lg. crock pot. Add potatoes, onion, rutabaga. Salt & pepper. Mix sauerkraut with 2 T. br. sugar, 2 T. fennel seed, spread over all. Cover & cook on med. about 3 hrs. or until vegetables are tender.
