Ingredients:  
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening, creamed
2 egg yolks, beat egg whites separately
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 tsp. soda
4 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1/2 cup of walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars.
Add egg yolks and pineapple.
Add vanilla.
Add soda, pinch of salt and flour.
Add nuts.
Mix well.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º for 12 minutes
