1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups (1 pound) m&m's
1 cup coarsely chopped salted peanuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Add flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Stir in candy and nuts. Drop scant 1/4 cupfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet. Bake for 14 - 18 minutes or until golden brown.
