1/2 c butter or margarine
1 c sugar
1 egg, beaten well
1 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat to 375º

Cream butter, beat in sugar, egg, milk and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients, mix with butter mixture. Cover and refrigerate 3-4hrs. Roll dough into 3/4 in balls. Place 2in apart on lightly greased sheet. Flatten tops lightly with bottom of glass that has been dipped in sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned around the edges. Cool on wire rack.
