Rump roast, season with salt and pepper, herbs of your choice
4 carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
2 celery stalks, sliced
2-3 onions, quartered
1 bottle Catalina salad dressing, 1 bottle water to rinse salad dressing out
1 envelope onion soup mix
2-3 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks (put in the last hour of cooking)
Peas, optional (put in last 15 minutes of cooking)

Directions:
Brown all sides of roast in dutch oven . Add carrots, celery, and onion.
Then place roast fat side down with vegetables surrounding it.
Sprinkle the onion soup mix over. Then pour the dressing and one bottle of water over it.
Cook on stove top on low for 3-4 hours, depending on size of roast. Remove roast from pot. Slice completely.Put pieces back and continue to cook another 30-60 minutes.

Can use a crock pot instead of stove top cooking, but must brown meat and vegetables first.
