2 c. heavy cream
4 egg yolks
3 T. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. light brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat cream in saucepan and gradually add in granulated sugar until dissolved. Take off heat. Pour beaten eggs gradually into cream mixture, stirring constantly. Add vanilla. Pour into a casserole dish 1 1/2 quart. Place in pan of hot water and bake at 325º, uncovered about 45-50 minutes, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. When custard is set, sprinkle with brown sugar. Place under broiler for about a minute or until sugar melts. Chill four hours before serving.
