1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Sift in flour, soda and salt; mix in coconut and oatmeal. Make 1-inch round balls and put thumb prints in it. put jam in the hole. Bake at 375º for 5 to 6 minutes
