Toffee Bars Recipe

2 sticks of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of flour
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
6 Hershey candy bars
1 cup of chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, brown sugar, flour, egg, vanilla, and salt together .
Spread on a 12x18 inch cookie sheet.
Bake at 325º for 20 minutes.
While hot, distribute candy bars evenly over the top of the baked toffee. Spread to cover bars.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

When I was in junior high, my next door neighbor friend, Karen Stoddard, and I made the toffee bars in her kitchen.
