1 c butter
2 c sugar
1/2 c milk
3 eggs
1 tsp soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla
3+ c of flour (enough to make a stiff dough)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the wet ingredients together with a mixer.
Mix dry ingredients together then slowly add to wet ingredients.
Turn off mixer and mix by hand the last of the flour to form a stiff batter..
Refrigerate for a few hours.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Use parchment paper on the cookie sheets if you have it otherwise just use cookie sheets.
Using a teaspoon, spoon the batter onto a cookie sheet allowing for the batter to spread as it bakes.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until very lightly browned on the edges.
Cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Frost with chocolate, vanilla, or lemon flavored buttercream frosting.
