3/4 cup natural (no sugar added) applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Preheat oven to 400º
mash bananas and combine all ingredients.
prepare two 8" or 9" cake pans with butter and flour.
pour batter into pans.
cook for 20 minutes cool before frosting
