1 c. butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2c. sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c flour

Frosting
1/2c. butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract or more if you prefer
2 drops of red dye

Directions:
Directions:
Butter and cream cheese should be at room temperature.

Cream butter, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and almond extracts. Fold in flour and baking powder. Spray large cookie sheet with pam. Carefully separate, spread, and evenly press dough on the pan. Bake at 375º for about 20 minutes until barely brown on top. Cool.

Frosting:
Cream all ingredients together and spread on cooled cookie. Cut in squares.

Better than the pink cookies in the gas stations! If covered tightly will stay moist for days.
