1 lb. good ground beef
1/2 cup instant rice
1 egg
garlic salt
onion salt
salt & pepper
cabbage (or green peppers)
sauce:
1 can tomato sauce
1 can water
chipped garlic and onion if you like

Directions:
Directions:
Core out as much as you can of a nice leafy head of cabbage. Par boil, take off as many leaves as you can to make the stuffed cabbage.
Filling:
Mix ground beef, rice, egg and spices in a bowl. (hint - I like to soften the rice in a cup of hot water before adding to the meat mixture).
Fill and roll cabbage leaves and place in a casserole dish.
Sauce:
In a small sauce pan heat tomato sauce, water and spices. Pour sauce over cabbage rolls. Cover with foil and bake at 350º until cabbage is tender (approximated 30-45 min.) Baste with sauce as needed.

This sauce and filling can also be used for stuffed peppers. Use raw peppers of choice (green, red, yellow,etc. I like Pablono!). Put together and cook like cabbage rolls.
