1 cup Dried split peas
12 cups Cold water or stock from boiled ham
1/4 lb Fat salt pork, diced
1 Ham bone
1 Onion, sliced
2 tbsp Flour
3 tbsp Cold Water
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Soak peas overnight in cold water or stock, or stock and water combined.
Add salt pork, ham bone and onion.
Simmer for 3-4 hours or until peas are soft.
Remove bone and thicken with flour mixed to a smooth paste with cold water.
Add seasoning and cook 15 minutes longer.
