1/2 lb. butter
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups chopped onion
2 cups chopped green pepper
3/4 cup flour
5 cups hot milk
3 to 6 cans clams with juice
2 cups cooked potatoes
1/2 tsp thyme
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Saute peppers, celery and onion in butter until soft. Add flour and mix until smooth. Add hot milk, clams and clam juice. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. Add potatoes, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Mix and simmer on low heat for a few minutes to blend flavors.
