"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Melt together butter and 2 oz of chocolate in a small saucepan. Transfer then to a small bowl and let cool. Beat the sugar, sour cream, egg and vanilla into the cold chocolate mixture. Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, pecans and chocolate pieces. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonful 2 inches apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Dip greased bottom of a drinking glass into granulated sugar and flatten the balls of dough. Bake in a 375F oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Fill with the coffee brandy filling.

Drizzle a glaze on top.

Glaze:
Melt 2 squares of semi-sweet chocolate with 1 tbsp of brandy or brewed coffee in small saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Stir in 3 tbsp of butter, 1 tbsp at a time. Drizzle the glaze onto the cookies.
