1 c sliced green onions
2 T butter or margarine
1 8 oz can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1/2 c sour cream
1/4 c fine dry bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp pepper
1 can tuna (large or small - to taste)
2 packages refrigerator crescent rolls

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425º.
Bake for 10 minutes until pastry is golden brown.

1. In a saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender. Remove from heat.
2. Stir in water chestnuts, sour cream, bread crumbs, egg, cheese, and pepper.
3. Stir in drained tuna.

4. Unroll dough and form into 6x4" rectangles. Use 2 rolls to form 1 rectangle by sealing perforation.

5. Spoon 1/3 c filling onto one side of each rectangle.
6. Fold over the top of each rectangle to form a pouch. Seal the edges with the tines of a fork.

7. Place on an ungreased baking sheets.

8. Bake at 425º for 10 minutes until pastry is golden brown.

9. Serve with shredded cheese and sour cream, or a white sauce.
