1 cup molasses
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together, flour baking powder and baking soda. Boil molasses, shortening and sugar together for one minute. Remove from heat, add dry ingredients and mix well. Set bowl in a pan of hot water to keep dough from hardening. Drop a 1/2 tsp. on greased baking sheet 3 inches apart. Bake at 325º F.

Cookies will spread. Remove from oven and cool slightly. Wrap each cookie around wooden spoon handle, to form funnel. Work with several cookie sheets.
