3/4 c sugar
3 T flour
3 T cocoa
2 c milk
1 t vanilla
baked biscuits
butter

Directions:

Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, vanilla and gradually add milk into a pot or an iron skillet. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Serve over opened hot biscuits and put a dab of butter on top of the gravy.

When I was young, I had a friend whose mom made chocolate gravy. I had never heard of it before. I remember that it was so good and such a good treat, though perhaps not a good breakfast for anyone to have. I guess that is why I liked it when I got to spend the night with her.
