Buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up chicken and rinse. Pour buttermilk over chicken and refrigerate. Put flour, salt and pepper in bag and shake. Add chicken, shake and drop in hot oil. Fry, then drain on paper towels.
If you are lucky enough to get a wild turkey breast, cut it into bite size pieces and marinate in buttermilk in refrigerator. Follow same steps above for frying.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
The buttermilk gives the thick crust. If you don't care for a lot of crust eliminate the buttermilk and dip in seasoned flour and fry.
This is how we fried chicken before the time of fast foods.
