2 lb. stew beef (chuck)
2 T vegetable oil
2 c. beef broth
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 c. carrots, cut in chunks
1 c. celery, cut in chunks
2 c. fresh green beans (optional), or lima beans
2 T corn starch

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in large pt. Brown the beef, then add broth, Worcestershire, garlic powder, onions, salt, sugar, pepper and paprika; carrots, celery and green beans (or lima beans). Cover and let simmer 1 hour. Remove 1/4 c. broth and add 2 T corn starch and make a paste. Add paste to stew and stir until thickened.
