1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. Shortening
2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 C. hot water
1 C. molasses
1 tsp. each ginger, cloves, cinnamon
21/2 C. flour
2 beaten eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Add 2 well beaten eggs the last thing before baking, to other mixed ingredients. The batter will be thin, not thick.
