1 C. brown sugar
1 T. butter
3 T. flour
1/2 C. water
2 egg yolks ( keep white for meringue)
1 C. milk or half & half
1 tsp. vanilla
baked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, butter, water, & flour together. Stir in milk. Cook in double boiler or in saucepan until thick. Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs, stirring. Add egg mixture to hot mixture. Cook another minute. Add vanilla. Cool. Pour in pie shell. Put meringue on top and brown in oven.
