3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 AP flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1/3 cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Place walnuts on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes until they are aromatic and hot to the touch. Chop and cool. Cream butter and sugar together well until light and creamy. Beat in egg. Sift together dry ingredients and add to the creamed ingredients alternately with the molasses. Mix well. Add walnuts.
Drop mixture by the heaping teaspoon onto a greased baking sheets, leaving 1 1/2" between each. Bake in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden. Leave for 30 seconds before removing from sheet. Cool on a rack. Store in an airtight container.
