The main trick is to get the outer membrane to cook first separating from the egg white. Add eggs carefully when water is boiling. You can also place eggs in a steamer when hot which works well. Drain off hot water and shake pan to crack eggs. When done cool immediately by running cold water over eggs. This allows minerals to reabsorb into the yolk eliminating the green ring.

Fresh eggs are the most difficult to peel when boiled and raising our own eggs we've tried just about everything. David heard a report on a scientific study and the key is to cook the outside fast before the inside. I also got so used to cracking the eggs and cooling I forgot when making Easter eggs. Pops.
