1/2 lb or 2 Sticks Butter (room temperature)
3 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Sour Cream
3 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
6 Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
Orange or Lemon Rind (optional)

Frosting
1 Stick Butter (room temperature)
1 8oz Brick Cream Cheese (room temperature)
1 Box Confectioners Sugar
1/2 Tsp Almond Extract
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
Orange or Lemon Rind (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pre heat over to 325º.

Cream butter and sugar together, add sour cream. Add flour and baking soda to creamed mixture. Alternate with egg and one cup flour. Beat after each egg. Add vanilla and orange or lemon rind (optional). Pour into 9" tube pan.

Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Frosting
Beat butter and cream cheese.
Add Almond and Vanilla.
Add Orange or Lemon Rind (optional).
Add confectioners sugar.
Frost cake after it has cooled.

My girls love this pound cake without frosting. Just plain!
If you want, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top instead of the frosting.
