Ingredients: 1 lb. ground beef (85/15) 1 can sliced olives, drained 1-2 fresh tomatoes, diced lettuce, shredded 1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded 1 envelope of Taco Seasoning & water as per package directions 1 dozen corn tortillas, yellow or white corn, as desired
OPTIONAL: 1 can refried beans sour cream 1 avocado diced onion hot sauce

Directions:To make crispy tacos, fry shells in hot oil for about 30 seconds on each side. Fold shells in half during frying process. Pat shells with paper towels to absorb excess oil after frying.
To make crispy tostada shells, fry each shell until it reaches desired crispiness. Do not fold. Pat shells with paper towels to absorb excess oil after frying.
Fry ground beef till cooked. Drain off any fat. Add the McCormick's taco seasoning packet along with the amount of water indicated on package (about ¾ cup.) Simmer about 10 minutes or until the liquid has evaporated.
Fill crispy taco shells with 2 TBSP. taco meat and add optional toppings, followed by lettuce, shredded cheese, sliced olives, and diced tomato.
Top crispy tostada shell with desired toppings and enjoy! |

Notes: A favorite since childhood! You can use ground turkey or lamb in place of beef Alternatively, use leftover shredded roast, pork or chicken for extra quick tacos!
