1 package apricots ( chopped ) - ~ 1 1/2 -2 cups
2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar

1 8 0z package cream cheese
1 cup margarine
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to boil the first 3 ingredients & simmer for 15 minutes.

Cream margarine, cream cheese, sugar & vanilla. Add eggs one at a time.
Gradually add flour & baking powder.

Bake at 325º for 1 1/2 hours

( may substitute cherries instead of apricots )
