1 cup (8 oz. ) cream cheese
1 egg unbeaten
1/3 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Beat well with mixer, then stir in 1 cup (6 oz. pkg.) chocolate bits.(not morsels)
Set aside.

Sift together in mixing bowl:
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

Add:
1 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1 T. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
To the dry ingredients add the water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla and beat until mixed well.

Fill muffin cups lined with paper baking cups and about 1/3 full with chocolate batter. Then put one good tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in center of muffin.

Bake at 350º for 30 min.

Make sure to buy the chocolate bits!
Cake batter has to have a thick consistency.
1/3 cup batter in each muffin cup will make 2 dozen.
