Ingredients:
2 cup White sugar
2 cup Honey
2 cup Dark syrup
1 cup Shortening
1 cup Sour Cream
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Black pepper
¼ teaspoon Cloves
¼ teaspoon Ginger
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
½ teaspoon Allspice
1½ teaspoon Star anise powder
13 cups Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Add all the above ingredients until well mixed. If you have a newer mixer, with a more powerful motor, they will mix the batter easy. Chill dough. When ready to bake, take a piece of dough and roll out a thin strip about the size of a piece of licorice. Slice into small pieces. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. This makes hundreds of thousands of peppernuts. You think you will never get done cutting and baking.
