½ cup pure salted butter (1 stick)
½ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
½ tsp. soda
(OPTIONAL) 1 - 6 oz. Package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture. Add chocolate chips if you want to ruin the cookies. Drop from tsp. 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.
