2 c warm water
1/4 c soft butter or 2 T oil
1/2 c sugar
2 tsp salt
6 1/2-7 c flour
2 pkg dry yeast
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Measure water into mixing bowl. Sprinkle in yeast and stir until dissolved. Add half the flour and all other ingredients. Beat until smooth. Add remaining flour and mix until dough is easy to handle. Knead for about 5 minutes. This is a soft dough so don't add too much flour in the kneading process. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover loosely and refrigerate at least 2 hours. When dough rises, punch down. Shape rolls, put on cookie sheet or in 9" round cake pans, cover and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour). Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until they sound hollow when thumped lightly.
