2 cloves garlic (crushed )
1 medium onion thinly sliced
1/2 c. Diced celery
1/2 c . Diced carrots
2 1/2 c water
1 8oz. Canned tomatoes sauce
1 bay leave
16oz. c. Red Kidney Beans (drained & rinsed)
3/4 tsp. mild chili powder
1/4 tsp. hot chili powder
1 tbsp. oil

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy non stick sauce pan, sauté garlic,onion,celery and carrots in oil till soft.
Add water,tomatoe sauce bay leaf & chili powders
Simmer uncovered about 15 minutes
Stir in beans
Discard bay leaf
Serve. Add tortilla chips & cheddar cheese & pepper flakes ( optional)
