1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
3 cups uncooked oatmeal ( quick or old-fashion)
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350.
Beat together margarine and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Stir in with wooden spoon the oats and raisins, mix well.
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, then remove to cooling rack.
