Rind of 1 large orange shredded (orange zest)
1 lb thinly sliced loaf of Pepperidge Farm bread
1 c soft butter
1 c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 250º F.

Mix butter, sugar, and rind (zest) and let stand a few minutes.

Mix again and spread GENEROUSLY on bread slices, cut slices into thirds (use crusts also). Place slices on jelly roll pans.

Bake at 250º F for approximately 1 hour. Watch carefully not to burn!

Turn oven off and let dry in oven thoroughly. Once cooled, store in plastic bags or tight tin containers.
