1 1/2 cup elbow macaroni
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp all purpose flour
2 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cup shredded cheese
4 slices american cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Bring a pot of water to a boil; add generous sprinkling of salt

While past cooks, melt butter in pot. Add flour and stir until mixture is lightly browned; 1-2 minutes. Add milk and whisk to remove any lumps. Add salt and pepper. Stir in cheese and whisk until smooth. Drain pasta when almost done, but still firm.

Pour pasta in baking dish or casserole, sprayed with cooking spray. Pour cheese sauce over and stir. Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake for 40-45 minutes until browned and bubbly.
