4 ½ cups sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 ½ cup shortening/Crisco
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
4 tbls milk
1 tbls vanilla
2/3 cups Marciano Cherries, drained and chopped
2 cups pecans
2 cups chopped dates
5 cups of crushed Corn Flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together first 4 dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Blend 1 ½ cups of shortening with 2 cups of sugar until well blended and creamed. Add eggs, milk and vanilla to the shortening mixture. Mix well. Gradually add in the dry ingredients that you set aside. Then add 2 cups of chopped pecans, 2 cups chopped dates and 2/3 cups cherries. Mix well and then use small spoon to drop into 5 cups of crushed Corn Flake to coat. Roll to form balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Top each one with ¼ of a cherry. Put in oven to bake for 15-20 minutes at 375.
