1 c. butter or shortening
3/4 c. cup brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. hot water
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. Chippits
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter with eggs. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and mix alternately with sugar and sifted flour sifted with salt. Lastly add 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 pkg. Chippits. Flavour with vanilla. Drop by 1/2 tsp on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
