1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
Directions:
Directions:
Stir shortening, sugar, well beaten egg and buttermilk. (Do not use mixer).
Sift flour,salt, cinnamon, soda and baking powder. Add oatmeal. Add gradually to batter mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls on baking sheet.
Bake at 350-370º until brown.
