Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Juices from cooking roast and veggies in crockpot
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp Corn Starch
1 c. Cold water
Salt and pepper, to taste
Onion and/or garlic powder, if desired.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the flour and cornstarch together in a small bowl. Pour in the cold water and stir till dissolved completely. Pour the flour/corn starch mixture gradually into hot roast juices either in the crock pot or in a pan on the stove. Cook on medium high, stirring often until the desired consistency, about 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. If the gravy isn't dark enough, add a bit of browning sauce like Kitchen Bouquet. If it is too thick, add water or vegetable or beef broth to desired consistency. If, too thin, add flour which has been dissolved with HOT tap water, or Corn Starch which has been dissolved in COLD tap water. If using both flour and corn starch, use cold water.

NOTE: Using all flour makes gravy opaque, using all corn starch makes it transparent. Using both with a roast gravy makes it just right!
