1 c. Margarine
1.5 c. White Sugar
3 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
3.5 c. Flour
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 tsp Soda
1/2 tsp Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Beat until fluffy, add eggs one at a time and beat after each one. Stir in vanilla then sift dry ingredients and add to cream mixture. Mix well, roll on floured board to 1/8 or 1/4 inch thick. Bake at 375º for 6 to 8 minutes.

Written by Grandma Brown: "I never measure raisins, I guess two cups cover with water. I add 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar and heat to boiling. Thicken with heaping tablespoon corn starch dissolved with water and heaping teaspoon raisins on each cookie or as you like or until raisins are all gone. Grease cookie pan.
