4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. anise seed
3 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and sugar with mixer about 15 minutes. Sift flour and baking powder and add gradually to egg mixture. Add anise seed. Put in refrigerator 1 hour. Roll out about 1/4 - 1/2" thick.Cut in forms then put on towels and let lay till next morning covered. Bake on cookie sheet about 10 minutes in 350º oven.

*I made these for Joe and the batter was so dry I had to add about 1/8 c. of milk in order to roll out dough. Used a mixture of flour and conf. sugar to roll in and on the rolling pin. Dough rolled 1/4" resulted into more of a harder biscuit, while 1/2" were more of an airy cookie.
